PewDiePie back on top as largest YouTube channel over Indian music label T-Series
In a neck-and-neck race, PewDiePie has regained the lead over T-Series for being the largest YouTube channel in terms of number of subscribers.
PewDiePie – also known as Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg – released a video Sunday conceding defeat to T-Series, an Indian music label and production house. However, hours later, the Swedish game vlogger saw a surge in subscribers. According to current YouTube data, PewDiePie has around 92,477,000 subscribers, whereas T-Series has around 92,312,000.
This isn't the first time that the two rivals have swapped places since their rivalry began roughly seven months ago. According to data from Social Blade, a website that tracks social media statistics and analytics, T-Series has surpassed PewDiePie over 120 times for the top slot.
Though T-Series is roughly 165,000 subscribers behind PewDiePie, the music label beats the gaming channel in terms of total video views. According to YouTube data, T-Series' videos have been viewed over 66 billion times, while PewDiePie's videos have been viewed around 21 million times.
